Public Registry

NCOR is building a public registry for vetted submissions and issued Credentials. During the pilot preview, the verification experience and any sample entries are for evaluation and testing only.

Level 1 Credentialing Portal (Pilot Preview)

The NCOR Level 1 Credentialing Portal for Organizations and Software is currently in pilot preview. During this phase, workflows, self-assessment criteria, and sample registry entries are for evaluation and testing only.

What you will find

Each registry entry represents an NCOR Credential: a reviewed, time-bound record of scope and alignment, not a formal certification audit certificate.

What the registry provides​

  • A stable registry entry for each credentialed ontology or organization
  • A registry identifier tied to the credentialing decision
  • A high-level summary of what was evaluated (e.g., scope and applicable credentialing track)
  • Dates for issuance and expiration (credentials are time-bound)

Why a registry matters​

A registry supports long-term trust and reuse by making credential outcomes discoverable and verifiable by adopters, auditors, and governance teams.

Registry status​

The registry is being launched in phases. During pilot preview, you can explore the verification UI and sample entries (including a demonstration record for NCOR) to see how lookup, scope summaries, and Open Badges 3.0 files will work at general availability.

Preview the verification registry or view a sample entry (National Center for Ontological Research, for demonstration only). Sample entries are not official public credentials until the program exits pilot preview.
